Garlic Parmesan Chicken Sandwiches

Garlic Parmesan Chicken Sandwiches are such an easy and delicious dinner recipe! My family has been loving Garlic Parmesan everything lately and these sandwiches were a huge hit! We love easy weeknight dinners that don’t take a lot of actual cooking.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika
  • 1 TBSP olive oil
  • Buffalo Wild Wings Garlic Parmesan Sauce
  • 4 Buns
  • 1 TBSP Butter
  • 8 pieces of cooked bacon
  • Shredded parmesan cheese for topping

How To Make

To make garlic parmesan chicken sandwiches, start by cutting two chicken breasts in half lengthwise to make them thinner. Now you will have four pieces of chicken!

Get some bacon cooking however you like cooking bacon! I like cooking bacon at 400 degrees in the oven on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. This usually cooks for 20-25 minutes depending on how thick the bacon is.

Season the chicken on both sides with some salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.

Next, add about 1 TBSP of olive oil to a skillet over medium high heat.

Once the skillet is nice and hot add the chicken to the skillet. Sear the chicken on both sides quickly.

Once the chicken is seared, remove the skillet from the heat. At this point the chicken won’t be fully cooked.

Add some of the garlic parmesan sauce on top of each chicken breast and smooth out evenly. I just add enough of the sauce to coat the chicken.

If your skillet is oven safe place it in the oven and bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes. If you don’t have an oven safe skillet you can transfer the chicken to a baking dish.

While the chicken is baking, melt 2 TBSP of butter in a skillet and toast four buns. Once the buns are golden brown remove them from the skillet and set aside.

Once the chicken has reached an internal temp of at least 165 degrees remove it from the oven and sprinkle freshly shredded parmesan cheese over each piece of chicken.

Now it’s time to start building the sandwiches! I keep these simple with just chicken, bacon, and the parmesan cheese, but you could add any of your favorite toppings!

I served these garlic parmesan chicken sandwiches with some air fryer potato wedges and a salad and the dinner was a huge hit with the family! It’s always a win when the kids eat dinner with no complaints!

  2. 5 stars
Made this on a day when it was 110 here in Eastern WA. Cooked the bacon early in the morning and refrigerated it. Cooked the chicken on the bbq and added the sauce with around 3 min of cooking time left and then a slice of provolone as I was pulling them off. Buns were toasted on the bbq on a piece of foil with a pat of butter melted on it. Great dinner with bbq roasted buttered corn and lettuce and tomato on sandwiches and house stayed cool! WIn Win!
